Family and Friends Establish Foundation in His Name

Transforming tragedy and grief to valued community service, family and friends of Corporal Michael Oremus are proud to announce the establishment of the Michael Oremus Foundation, Inc., a charitable organization dedicated to honoring his spirit. Michael was killed by a sniper bullet while on patrol in Baghdad, Iraq in October, 2006. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide scholarships for graduating High School students and to provide funding for recreational activities for children of families in need in the Town of Lloyd and surrounding communities.
